Manu & Koren- Owner/Operators
In response to growing demand for skilled and trustworthy builders across Otago and Southland, Next Level Building & Construction was founded in 2020 by Manu & Koren, Manu - a highly experienced builder with a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of the local construction landscape.
Manu works closely with every client, guiding them through the often-complex building and consenting process. From concept to consent, he collaborates seamlessly with designers and consultants to find practical, cost-effective solutions tailored to each client’s vision and site conditions.
Behind the scenes, Koren plays a crucial role in keeping everything running smoothly. As the head of admin and client support, she ensures communication is clear, documentation is accurate, and every client feels supported throughout their build journey.
Together, Manu and Koren offer a balance of on-site expertise and off-site support — giving clients a streamlined, transparent, and stress-free building experience from start to finish.
Nathan – Site Manager
Nathan has primarily worked in the residential sector. He possesses excellent attention to detail, extensive experience, and strong communication skills making him an ideal site manager. He collaborates closely with Manu to keep schedules updated, coordinate materials, organize subcontractors and council inspections. Furthermore, Nathan consults with customers on-site to ensure their project meets their expectations. His ability to oversee and manage the team plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficently and to a high standard.
James – Carpenter/Leading Hand
Fortunately for us, James chose to move on from his fencing career to complete an apprenticeship at Next Level. Chasing his goals of becoming a trade qualified carpenter, it’s been satisfying to watch James grow and excel throughout his learnings. James has recently completed his first two new build projects on his own and is proudly now one of our trusted leading hands, where he is currently working on another multi house development.
Nathan – Carpenter/Leading Hand
Nathan's vast experience in both residential and commercial construction makes him an invaluable asset in managing the apprentices onsite.
Nathan is taking charge of one of our major renovation projects, skillfully blending the old with the new.

Elias – Apprentice
Elias is a hard-working young man reaching the end of his 3rd year in his apprenticeship. As a member of our team, Elias is highly valued for his exceptional skills, continued enthusiasm for the trade, and his ability to execute instructions. His contributions play a vital role in ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest standard that we set.
Elias will continually rise to any occasion, and we are grateful to be able to mentor such a promising young man.
Terrence is our talented second-year apprentice. His hunger to learn the trade is truly impressive. Terrence's energetic and polite manner makes him a pleasure for any carpenter to mentor.
Having recently relocated from Auckland, we are thrilled to guide Terrence on the journey towards achieving a qualification and building a successful career in carpentry.
His enthusiasm and likeable personality leave a positive impact on all our customers on-site.
